A cookie kind of day

Last week, Noah helped me make Halloween cut-out cookies for the first time. Since he helped from the very beginning (making the dough, rolling it out, etc) I knew I could only hold his attention for so long and we only did about half the dough (20ish cookies) then I threw the rest of the dough and already mixed frosting (he helped with that, too!) in the fridge for another day. I decided to roll out the rest of the dough this morning while he enjoyed Sesame Street and then let Noah help with the decorating. Our efforts follow :)

We otherwise had a good day. Ran some errands this afternoon, the kids were great. Hauling them both in and out of the car can make for a long experience, even for just a short trip so it is always good when they behave :) Right now both Thing 1 and Thing 2 are playing with Daddy and Bella and I hear crazy giggles and doggy howls coming from the front room. Perhaps I should go investigate...

More tomorrow :)

Noah did the decorating after Mommy frosted them

Kayla was all smiles while we played with blocks this morning

Noah and I built lots of towers

She looks so much like Noah....

Noah got to enjoy one of his cookies after he ate all his dinner (YAY!)

Kayla got the heel of the freshly baked bread I made for grilled cheese. She was a happy girl, too. Daddy can't believe how many crumbs are all over him, though ;-)
