I'm having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that it is nearly the end of April. Where has this month gone? Forget that, where has this year gone?
We were driving home from Sam's Club tonight and it dawned on me why it sometimes is hard to remember what month it is (it's always hard to remember what day it is...). I think I've just gotten used to getting up in the morning, it being 80ish degrees and sunny. There is no change! I don't miss the snow and wind of winter up north, but I do miss the actual change in season to help you distinguish how fast time is really going.
So as I mentioned before, we were out at Sam's Club tonight spoiling the kiddo, mostly. I am trying to branch out a little bit in what he gets to eat (becuase apparently I give him way too much beta carotine related foods...) at diferrent times. We tried avacado pieces for dinner tonight (he didn't seem to care for that too much) and we also got him some animal crackers and goldfish tonight. As he still has no teeth (except for the one still trying to poke through in the front) it's hard to know what to give him or what not to give him. Isn't this Mom stuff supposed to get easier not harder? ;-)
We had a good time at the park today and met up with a few Mom's from the Mom's Group as well as Miesje and Coen. Noah and Coen seem to do pretty well "playing" together (Coen's two months older than Noah) and I think he's being a good influence on Noah. Coen is super steady on his feet, and has been walking since he was nine months old. Noah has been watching him and has been a little more daring lately about letting go of my hand or standing for any length of time. I think he really wants to run around with the "big kids" and is trying to figure out how to get there. Me, I'm not sure how I feel about it... I want him to walk, but at the same time I know it's only going to add a whole new side of crazy around here.
Alright, enough of my babbling. Sorry there's not too many pictures, but I took what I could when I remembered. More tomorrow. Enjoy the picutres :)
