Runnin' on Empty

OK, so I'm an awful blogger. This post was meant for last night, so as you're reading it, just pretend that I had my act together and actually posted it last night ;-)

Noah has been a handful today. I don't know what his major malfunction has been, but he refused to take a nap, cried all afternoon and just in general gave me a hard time. And then, because I must not know the tricks (insert sarcastic noise here) Grant came home and the little stinker fell asleep in Grant's arms within five minutes! I think Mom must be right - the stress and tension of this past week must be getting to Noah as well...

And if his tantrums were not enough I've had to do his laundry twice today due to major "blowouts" for lack of a better word. Including one all over his swing... Daddy was home to clean that one up, fortunately. I think I would have just cried at that point.

I did manage to get Noah's Halloween cards finished, though. Mostly because at that point I was trying my best to tune out the screaming. And I got his clothes re-arranged in his dresser and closet. I had to officially pack away some of the smaller clothes - how sad! Exciting because he's getting bigger, doing new things, etc. but sad because he's not such a "baby" anymore. If you would have told me a year ago that at five months he would already have such a distinct personality, I would have laughed. It amazes me daily how much of an individual he is already and how much he learns on a daily basis. Even on the really trying days (like today!) I'm still glad he's around. Though shipping him off to Grandma and Papa's for a few days does sometimes sound tempting. You know he can fly there by himself, right?

Alright, I promise to try and do my blogger best to stay on top of this posting thing now. Enjoy the pictures.

Before the tantrums... (Does he look like his Daddy here or what??)

Look into my eyes Mom, I know how to drive you crazy...

After we'd weathered most of the storm...
