Alright, so now that we officially "know" that 2.0 is a girl and I've spilled the beans on the name, too, can we just speed up to January and just get her here already? Do I really have to wait another four months? Then again, I'm really enjoying my time with Noah lately, especially since every days he is a little more animated and saying/doing something else to keep me on my toes. Today, every time the thunder sounded he said "boom" at the doctor's office. The kid cracks me up. His new favorite word is lizard (he checks for them on the front window constantly) and it comes out something like "leelard"
We went to dinner and were discussing the findings of the afternoon. Grant's decided he's going to call Noah "Big Joe" and Mikayla "Little Mac" I think it sounds like a future sitcom, to me :-p He seems genuinely excited about having a little girl and things being "balanced" around here. We've decided, for the time being, that once Mikayla is out of the cradle we'll put them in Noah's room together. Part of me would like them to have separate rooms, but given the size of the house, we'd have no room (and probably no furniture) to put up company then. If we lived closer to our families, that probably wouldn't be the biggest deal, but given that we really like them and like it when they come visit, we'll try putting the kiddos in together and seeing how that works.
I know I said I'd post some pictures, but I went back to look at them and they're honestly not that great. Plus I'm not posting the picture that supposedly proves it's a girl. I have issue posting my daughter's girlie parts even en utero. Some things are just not for all eyes ;-) The other pictures are feet which I posted last time and a not really good face shot. Makes her look like a creepy alien. So sorry, no pictures. I promise come January there will be TONS of Mikayla pictures ;-)
I'm off for the evening, then. Have to be up early in the morning to go for the other half of the test that didn't get done a few weeks ago (grumble grumble grumble). Thank goodness for Grant who is staying a little later tomorrow morning to watch the kiddo while I go for this test. I don't know what I'd do without him, good thing I don't have to find out! Until tomorrow...
