Weekend Fun

We had such a great weekend here! Noah especially, I think :-p Yesterday we headed to Phil's condo on the beach. How great to have access to a strip of beach all to yourself! Plus it is just a little further south than where we usually go to the beach, so that was nice, too. The surf was honestly the roughest I have seen it not during a storm. The beach actually ended abruptly to about an 18 inch drop off where the waves had pounded it away. So Noah and I stayed out of the water (he's still not too sure about the ocean and sand, anyway) but had fun sitting on the beach. Would've been that much better if it wasn't hot, I have to admit. Poor Noah was sweating like a fool.

Yet another great thing about going to Phil's, though was that we also had access to the pool :) So after awhile of battling the sun and waves, we all headed up to the pool for a swim. Noah was in seventh heaven and really enjoyed playing in the pool. Even I got in on the pool action :) After hanging out with everyone for a few hours, we came home and hang out by ourselves last night.

Today we've mostly been hanging out, but did manage to make a quick trip to Sam's Club. I had been promising Noah we'd go and get Goldfish. So we got there, and I looked at Grant and said "OK, what do we need here?" and without missing a beat, Noah is making the fish noise at me! The kid knew exactly what we were there for!! I swear he's too smart for his own good some days. We got home and he was playing with Bella (who he calls Ella, and all dogs are "gee" for doggy) and I was trying to make Bella sit so that he could play with him. So looking at the dog, I say "Sit." She looks at me like I'm nuts, but beside her, Noah plops down and looks at me like "OK Mom, now what?" What a card the kid is! The better part was when we were laughing so hard at him, he then looked at Bella and told her to sit - and she listened to him. I'm beginning to wonder if they are literally ganging up against me some days...

Alright, a little bit longer to play with the kiddo before he's off to bed. I only managed to take a few pictures at the beach yesterday since we were having so much fun, so you'll just have to enjoy what I managed to take :) Until tomorrow; enjoy the pictures!
