Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. And I'll apologize in advance for having no pictures. I was in quite a funk on Thursday night (stupid doctors, grumble grumble grumble) and didn't want to get on here and vent my frustrations. I see the OB tomorrow and I'm hoping to have a long discussion about all the things that have been going down recently. Hopefully we can get things straightened out, order the correct tests if need be, and move on. We're almost half way there!
Anyway, on Friday night we met up with some of the gang at Olive Garden to take in the never ending pasta special they have going on. I don't know why I get so excited about it; I only ever make it through the main bowl and end up taking all of the second bowl anyway, so it's not like it's this fantastic deal or anything. But we went nonetheless, I enjoyed it immensely, and then we came back here with the Kunkle's and Nathan for a bit. We had too much fun listening to the 90's music channel on the TV (Kristina and I knew all the songs) and informing Arthur that Shupak definitely didn't die last year ;-) It was a pretty low key night, but enjoyable for sure.
Saturday we tried to take Noah to the park for awhile in the morning, but it was just too hot! We were only there for about 25 minutes before we threw in the towel. All the equipment was just too warm for him to even play on, and he was sweating profusely when we stuffed him back in the car. I'm so looking forward to about October when it finally cools down again!
Yesterday afternoon Kristina and I went and did some shopping and then went to visit Giselle who has unfortunately been put on bedrest due to the swelling in her feet. She's only got a couple of week left, but I can commiserate with her on her desire to be doing anything but being on bedrest. At the same time, looking back, if I'd have known then (when I was stuck on bedrest with Noah) what I do now, I would have enjoyed that time a lot more than I did. But I completely understand that it's not the ideal situation, especially when you're the one stuck. Hopefully baby Briana will get her act in gear and show up in the next week or so :)
After we left Giselle's, Kristina and I both noticed that the car was making some funky noises. I pulled into a gas station, and we checked the tires, since I thought I might have a flat and that was the noise. Everything looked OK, no lights on my dash, so I figured we'd make it the rest of the way up to the Hals' to join everyone else for dinner. We had just gotten onto US 1, when it sounded like we ran over broken glass and suddenly a warning light came on my dash. Neither one of us had any idea what the noise is, and as Kristina is pulling out the manual to try to figure out what the light means, we suddenly hear "thud thud thud thud thud" and the car's shaking. Definitely a flat tire.... We made it off the side of the road, confirmed that's what it was, pulled up about 50 feet into the parking lot of a bar and called the boys. Since we were only a few miles from the Hals' they made it over rather quickly and Grant, Arthur and Phil very efficiently changed the flat. And the tire in the back was even a full tire, so we didn't have to rush off to get a new tire today. It looks like I had a roofing tack stuck in the front tire and it's patchable. We'll take the car in this week to make sure everything else is A-OK, but thank goodness the boys were able to come rescue the damsels in distress.
Tire fixed, we headed up to the Hals' for some fabulous burritos and hanging out with everyone. We made it 'til about 11 before Grant and I were absolutely exhausted and headed home. It feels weird to be the first ones to usually call it a night, but I know Noah sleeps better in his own bed rather than the pack and play, and honestly after a day full of running around chasing him, I'm almost always exhausted by 11! That kid wears me out!
Today is Grant's 27th birthday, so I got up and made him a big breakfast, and we've just spent the majority of the day hanging out and playing with the kiddo. He got a gift card from the gang to get a new lawn mower, so I know he's been doing some research on that this afternoon. I'll just be glad when it doesn't look like our house is one of the many foreclosures in the neighborhood due to the grass being so high ;-)
Alright, enough of my babbling. Still have some things to do before the weekend officially ends, so I'm going to wrap this up. We'll have a Baby G 2.0 update tomorrow, and hopefully some pictures. Until tomorrow, hope everyone had a good weekend!

You still need to tell me when you want me to mow.
