My favorite M&M's

Mikayla is finally big enough to wear her M&M shirt and I couldn't help myself but to dress them both in them yesterday :)

It was all fun and games until she started pulling his hair....

Sprinkler Fun

For his birthday Noah got a really cool sprinkler (thanks Grammy and Papa Tom!) but we hadn't had a chance to try it out yet. So after we got back from early Church and had breakfast, Grant and Noah headed outside for the morning to play in the sprinkler. They had a great time!

At that same time, I was inside trying my hand at making baby food for Mikayla. I made bananas, peaches, mangoes, plums, blue berries avocados, sweet potatoes and green beans. So far she's really enjoying everything! Since apparently that wasn't enough Suzie Homemaker for me, I then made a peach coffee cake, blackberry muffins and two loaves of zucchini bread. I've been a busy girl today!

On another note, yesterday Grant took Noah to his first grown-up movie in an actual movie theater. They went and saw "How To Train Your Dragon" Apparently they had a great time, Noah was very well behaved and they can't wait to go and see another movie. We are thrilled to find out that there is a $1 movie theater here in Palm Bay that we can take the kiddo to.

I made Kayla baby food - she helped by eating one of the cookies I made the other day :) At the same time, Grant took Noah to his first movie in a theater. Noah had a blast!

Fireworks

The fireworks were in Palm Bay tonight, so Grant took Noah over to Brevard Community College were the festivities were being held. Unfortunately, it rained. Even more unfortunately, Noah's apparently not too fond of the noise fireworks make and they didn't make it through much of the display. They did get ice cream, though. And apparently Noah had a great time up to the fireworks :)

Getting ice cream

Lots of fog

Cake batter with cookie dough, I hear

Must have been good ice cream

Gatchel Family Hands

We decided recently to update the house a bit and have been re-doing our bedroom and adding some artwork to the front room. One of the things I decided would be a lot of fun was to have a set of hand prints from each of us on the wall that we could rotate out every year. So this morning we went and got the canvases, I put a base coat on each of them and then we did our hand prints :)

Waiting patiently
