Crazy Kiddos

Mikayla the wiggling crawling worm!

Too cute

She's been watching Mommy work-out ;-)

They were making each other laugh hysterically

She thought he was so funny, they played like this for about 15 minutes

He kept tweaking her nose

And this is how happy Mikayla was

Noah's Book and Kayla's Cookie

Mikayla got to give herself a cookie for the first time tonight while the rest of us had dinner. This is the aftermath

The bean checking out her new crib (Daddy insisted that she get her own girlie sheets and girlie bumper)

I was standing out in the hallway and heard the following "Kay-way (that's how Noah says Kayla) Mouse eat cookie. Mmmmm, cookie. Mouse, cookie" He was reading "If You Give A Mouse a Cookie" to Mikayla who was in her crib. My heart about melted

He really likes that the rocking chair is now in his room

He wanted to say cheese

New Beds!

My poor little Mama heart almost broke yesterday. It was a day for A LOT of changes! First, because of Mikayla's new schedule, we decided it was time for the kiddos to start sharing a room. So we went out and got Mikayla's new crib! Since we were already busy setting that up and re-establishing Noah's room, we decided it was probably about time for Noah to be in a big boy bed as well. So off came the side of Noah's crib! Then, because that wasn't quite enough ;-) we also took down and put away the cradle (something I didn't do after I moved Noah into a crib. Not sure why, just never bothered) and we brought in the high chair for Mikayla to start using. I'm still adjusting... Oh, and for what it's worth, they both did really well and slept all night. Haven't had any problems with Noah getting out of bed by himself (yet), either.

I can't believe he's big enough for this...

Mikayla and the Moose

Papa Gary sent some presents for the kiddos the other day and Mikayla got the most adorable stuffed moose! Earlier in the week, as a treat for Grant and Noah I had made caramel mousse. If you need a smile picture Noah running around the house yelling "caramel mousse, caramel mousse!" If honor of the dessert, we decided to name the new moose Caramel Moose. I thought it was cute. Unfortunately, between Caramel Moose and Moosey the Reindeer, I think Noah now might be a little confused... ;-)

Mikayla at 6 Months

I took Mikayla to the pediatrician for her 6 month check-up yesterday. Here's her stats:

Height: 25 1/4 inches - 30th percentile
Weight: 12 lbs 7 1/2 ounces - 3rd percentile

She's finally on the charts for her weight! Yay!!!!! She gained almost two pounds in a little less than a month, so we'll take it. She's doing everything else she's supposed to be doing and the doc is happy with her. We are now changing up her schedule to breakfast/lunch/dinner and bedtime, with her being in bed by 9pm. It is hard to say who is the most excited about that - Grant or I :)

Heading Out

And so all good things must come to an end... We headed out on Saturday morning and made it back here Saturday night. We had a great time and can't wait for next year!

Bella, Kayla and Papa

Such a big girl (in her lady bug outfit that I made!)

Noah and Papa have a noodle battle

Not sure who's winning...

Noah got me and I died a very slow and agonizing death

Aren't those cool pj pants Grandma made Noah?

He thought this was the best game ever

Noah seems to be at a disadvantage...

Dreher Island State Park

On Thursday after Sarah and Big Scott headed home (Sad!) we went and checked out Dreher Island State Park. While it would have literally been a 10 minute ride across the lake, we had to go the long way around! 12 miles 'as the crow flies', hehehe

Uncle Scott and Noah go for a swing

Noah gets a push from Papa

Mama gets in on the action, too

Daddy, too!

There are goats sitting on that roof!

Haircut

Thank goodness for Aunt Sarah - Noah was getting really shaggy! Sarah (with infinite patience) practiced her skills on Noah and boy does he look different! So grown up!
