1) Flying poo is not a myth
2) Spit-up comes with the territory
3) There is no 'I' in parent, but there sure is in kid
4) A smile or a giggle can make the three hours of crying beforehand all worth it
5) The house is no longer ours. It has been over run with baby stuff and rearranged to his liking
6) You can catch up on sleep, but they're only little enough to snuggle for so long
7) Cookie Monster is the answer to all temper tantrums
8) If you're not willing to look like a fool in public, don't have a kid
9) You will get wet during bath time
10) The camera needs to be at hand at all times
11) Sometimes you just have to let them do things for themselves, even if it's a mess
12) Messes also come with the territory (See tip 11)
13) You can plan and schedule to your heart's content, but it will ultimately go completely differently
14) It takes at least 30 minutes to get out the door to go out for a few hours
15) The laundry we used to be able to get away with doing every three weeks is now done at least twice a week
16) You will suddenly be willing to do nearly anything for a smile
17) You will never ever get tired of hearing how cute he is
18) You can try everything, but he'll still probably be one step ahead of you
19) When all else fails, ask Mom
20) You finally start to get some of those things that your parents always said you'd understand when you were a parent
21) You worry even when they're sleeping
22) Yes, your friends and family really will get sick of hearing all the details
23) It's OK to let him cry sometimes, and sometimes it's even OK to just cry along with him... We all have bad days
24) You know you need a break when you start singing Veggie Tales at work
25) There is nothing better in the world than being a family
