Bingo in Heaven
It is with a sad heart, but joyful soul, that I write this post. My Grandma, affectionately known as G-Ma, passed away earlier this evening. While I am sad for my family and myself, I know G-Ma is so much happier now and no longer in any kind of pain.
And as sad as we here are, I have no doubt that there is much rejoicing in heaven tonight. I am sure that a huge polish party is currently under way. She is probably catching Papa up on the last nineteen years and he's probably grumbling that he's had to wait for her this long. Though I know he too has been watching over us, she will get to tell him all about the two additional grandchildren they have in Molly and Scott, and the fact that he has another namesake in Noah who is their first great-grandchild! The stories that she has to tell him about all of us here will probably take at least another 19 years ;-)
I'm sure a couple games of bingo will be on the agenda (with G-Ma of course getting B1 and B15 in the corners) as well as a few scratch off tickets and keno. And that purple car she always wanted - I'm sure it's being delivered right about now :) And Aunt Stella and Uncle Paul will probably drop in for a visit which I know G-Ma will be ecstatic about.
So yeah, we're sad here and we'll miss G-Ma every day, but I'm also happy for all the wonderful things I'm sure she's getting to do and people she's getting to see. I hope she gives Papa a big hug from me, too!
I'm going to Ohio to be with my family for the next few days, so the blog may be a bit sporadic. Prayers for all the Kosakowski's over the next few days would be most appreciated. Love you, G-Ma!
