Noah and I have spent the day having a battle of wills. It is still to be determined who won... Regardless, we were both relieved to see Grant come home.
It all started with his nap this morning. He stayed up and played and talked to himself for almost 45 minutes after I put him down. I'm one of those "mean moms" that doesn't let him have toys in his crib, so he really was entertaining himself. I sat out here working giggling at him for awhile, but became increasingly annoyed after awhile that he still wasn't snoozing. He finally fell asleep for about 30 minutes and then loudly demanded to get up. I knew he hadn't slept enough, and listened to him yell for about 20 minutes until he fell back asleep, only to wake up 15 minutes later. He finally won out at about 10:30 and I got him up.
We repeated this process this afternoon. Not exactly sure what his issue was. Well of course, then later this afternoon early this evening he's been cranky. Imagine that, little to no nap and a cranky kiddo. So as I'm trying to get things done this afternoon and get dinner made, he was bawling his head off. I'd go to pick him up and he was instantaneously quiet. Very obnoxious...
So by the time Grant walked in the door, dinner was fortunately made and Noah and I were laying on the floor of the living room, basically staring each other down. I'm sure it looked like a scene straight out of "High Noon" in the middle of our house. Noah was "rescued" by his Daddy, though and has been a little more pleasant since then. Little stinker...
Alright, plenty to do tonight. Oh, while I'm thinking of it; I need help. I am in desperate need of suggestions for the letters X, Y and Z for Noah's ABC book. They should be items he is familiar with every day, and if it's something I have a picture of him using, doing, etc even better. For example, A is for Ark, B is for Bella, C is for Cookie Monster, D is for Daddy... Suggestions would be most appreciated!!
Alright there's pictures and a video of him being a little stinker in his crib when he was supposed to be taking his snoozie (nap to the rest of the world). Enjoy! Oh, and happy 2 1/2 years, Grant David - I love you!
