Counting Down the Hours...

I know I've said that I will leave my political leanings off the blog. And I will continue to do so, but I need to get a bit of a rant out. I cannot WAIT until this time on Tuesday when I will never have to see another presidential campaign commercial between these two candidates. They are awful! If it wasn't such an important election I would be tempted not to vote for either one of them. The endless smear campaign is ridiculous. Every single commercial break has multiple ads with them ripping on each other. And why is it necessary? I don't care what you think the other guy means or says or does, tell me what YOU'RE going to do! I know Florida is a swing state so we're being more inundated than the non-swing states like the family up in Illinois. I've been told that they're not seeing any commercials at all. Lucky dogs! Okay, only forty-eight more hours...

I spent the day getting tons and tons of Christmas shopping done. I know that sounds ludicrous since it's only the second of November (scary that it's November already) but we've got a busy month coming up! Next weekend is the last "free" weekend that has nothing solid on the calendar until after the first of the year, believe it or not. In two weeks Grant and I are going to see Trans Siberian Orchestra, the weekend after that the Hals are moving as are Thomas & Brie. Then Thanksgiving weekend and Thomas & Brie's engagement party (Thanksgiving is going to be here at the house again!) and the weekend after that is the annual Florida family Christmas party. Then the kiddo, doggie and I are off to Ohio. So yeah, busy times ahead!

I bought Noah his first Christmas ornament yesterday - it was Cookie Monster. As you can imagine, he was estatic! Every time he sees Cookie Monster he starts grinning. Bless you, Sarah, for getting him hooked on that ;-)

Alright, I'm going to sit down and watch Simpson's Treehouse of Horror with Grant. Enjoy the pictures.
